Dear Microsoft, what’s next?

Dear Microsoft, what’s next?

Oh Microsoft where are you? What once was the OS of choice is now falling into ruin. Pledged by viruses, bugs, and exploits... Okay maybe its not that bad, but really what’s up? Why in version 7 are we still dealing with these age-old problems? Microsoft… look at the mobile market! Here is a good tip, tablets! Not with a stupid pen stylus and a resistive touch screen mounted on a 10lb monster laptop but a small portable tablet. (Hint, look at the iPad, mobile hardware meets mobile OS.) Were is your innovation? Your own company slogan is “Be what’s next.” My question is how is Microsoft living up to it’s name in 2011? How is Microsoft “what’s next”? So Windows 8… Arm support for mobile? Touch-screen support? Maybe include some Anti-virus software in the box! Whatever Microsoft has up its sleeve it can’t come soon enough. My suggestion, create something new. By the way can you please fix Microsoft software update while you’re at it?
 Thanks,

  1. Okay guys I get it I was a little harsh but come on they really need to take a step back and see were they are headed. I have a feeling it is not a place were any company especially one as large and influential on the economy and the market wants to be. Look at the enterprise model! The majority of companies are still running windows XP! Why, because it was the best, most stable and least buggy piece of software they ever made and that is were they need to be to make a win in the future of the mobile market. Also, to make a win for themselves they need to be up front leading technology not running in the background. Again, look at the iPad. Apple brought to the market a device unheard of my most consumers and all that time while Microsoft was still pushing pen based resistive touchscreen technology the same as they have for years. Maybe the best way for them to make a win in the future of the market is to define the category bring one amazing piece of hardware to the market with a great OS and put it in the hands of consumers, Devs, and other manufacturers and say "look this is what the future holds build something even better together"!
